Creative Summer Workshops are weeklong hands-on courses at CCAD for students in grades 1-12 and are opportunities for students interested in art to develop their skills in a creative and mentoring environment.
Students in younger grades can explore the hues and values of color, botanical art, paper toys, printmaking and more. Students in grades 5-8 can discover the foundations of drawing, painting, digital media, mini-comics and flipbook animation. Students in grades 7-9 can dig deeper into animation, digital photography, fashion design, expressive drawing and stop-motion animation. Serving as a base for students looking to go into art and design, classes for students in grades 10-12 allow students to explore animation photography, digital portfolios, fashion design and more. Register your student for the grade they are rising to in the fall. For each workshop, classes typically run Monday through Friday and span a half day, either from 9 a.m. to noon or 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Lunchtime childcare is available from 12-1:30 p.m. for children who attend 2 workshops for $50. Please pack a lunch and bring a drink. Program Costs: Creative Summer Workshops cost $195, including tuition, registration and all materials.
