During Summer@CIP students get to experience independence, get a taste of college life, and gain job readiness skills! Young Adults with Aspergers, ADHD and Learning Differences learn valuable skills to make a successful transition to college and beyond.

Summer@CIP is a program for students with Asperger’s, High-Functioning Autism, ADHD, Nonverbal and other learning differences.

Summer@CIP is for participants entering the 10th, 11th and 12th grades in the Fall, as well as recent high school graduates.

Throughout our two-week session several fun and exciting activities are planned. Spend some time outdoors this summer hiking, swimming and exploring local highlights. Last year’s participants loved the ropes course, theme park trip and professional sports outing; this year will be no different! Participants will also have some scheduled downtime to relax and socialize.

Participants will be introduced to Theme-Based Curriculum, connecting daily themes to a variety of activities and settings, utilizing a combination of teaching methods in the process. It focuses on executive functioning, sensory integration, and social skills. Person-Centered Plans will be developed using PowerPoint and a variety of multimedia. Additional elements will include introduction to the college experience, self-advocacy skills, health and wellness sessions, cooking instruction and interpersonal skills.

Cost and Session Information

Program cost of $4,600 covers most activities, room and board (3 meals a day), optional airport pick-up and drop off, and 24/7 staffing and support. Participants are required to bring an additional $300 spending money, which will be handed back as cash to practice budgeting and handling money, and is preplanned for some meals and activities.
