Throughout our two-week session several fun and exciting activities are planned. Spend some time outdoors this summer hiking, swimming and exploring local highlights. Last year’s participants loved the ropes course, theme park trip and professional sports outing; this year will be no different! Participants will also have some scheduled downtime to relax and socialize.
Participants will be introduced to Theme-Based Curriculum, connecting daily themes to a variety of activities and settings, utilizing a combination of teaching methods in the process. It focuses on executive functioning, sensory integration, and social skills. Person-Centered Plans will be developed using PowerPoint and a variety of multimedia. Additional elements will include introduction to the college experience, self-advocacy skills, health and wellness sessions, cooking instruction and interpersonal skills.
