Catapult was an amazing experience for my son. He was very focused on learning everything he could about entrepreneurship in order to know if what this was truly his passion and if he did want to commit to this path in college. He found all his answers and because of their care, interest and stimulation, my son knew this was the path he wanted to follow. Not only that but it was great time for the two of us as well, touring colleges and sightseeing around the sessions is time with my son I wouldn't trade for anything in the world. He learned and grew more than he could have imagined and we are both grateful for the experience.
This unique program transformed my son's notion of what he wants to pursue in college. The Catapult team of advisors paired him with a founder, taught him about business and entrepreneurialism and set him and his team free to explore and create. All of the advisors modeled professionalism and success at every juncture. He left this program piqued with confidence and excited about a new found interest in business. From the amazing experience of collaborating with team members from around the world to working with mentors at the Google and Microsoft campuses to presenting ideas and plans to real-life venture capitalists; he was wowed by the depth of this experience.
My daughter went through the the Catapult Startup Incubator and found it to be amazing. She listened to entrepreneurs from fast-moving startups (Such as Five Stars) give advice, worked with a mentor from Google and learned what it is like to start a company. Most importantly the people at Catapult really care about the mission of the program: giving high school kids the resources and know-how to become entrepreneurs!
The Catapult experience was second to none for me. The hands-on team approach allowed me to really delve into a project long enough to get a taste of the entrepreneurial/professional world. For me, it was not just the design of the program that made it so great, but the hard work and dedication of the staff- who put in all their efforts to make Catapult a fun, superb learning experience. I could immediately apply the knowledge gained to all aspects of my life. I can highly recommend Catapult to any driven, entrepreneurially-minded student!
Picture three weekends away from your parents. Surrounded by brilliant, creative-thinking people your age that want to change something in the world. Then imagine having a really cool project to work on that could end a million different ways and complete access to the supportive resources that you want, but not in an overbearing way. That is the Catapult experience. I guarantee you won't be able to find it in a classroom anywhere else. If you get the opportunity to participate in Catapult, you would be a fool to pass it up.
On the plane home my son argued that he’d learned more in one day of Catapult than in a year of high school. The team-building bonds, the opportunity to work with such creative and inspiring advisors, and the resources available through Catapult's business partners. Thank you so much for identifying and supporting the young entrepreneur in my son
Our parent group felt like a coming together of great minds, with absolute honesty in how we parent, take care of ourselves and share new ways with one another to approach our life stresses and changes. We will continue to meet because we all got so much out if it – balancing the many facets of life.
Catapult has been one of the best experiences of my life! The program is organized and designed in such a great manner that really allows for the participants to make the most of their experience. From working with and getting to know an amazing group of people over 4 months to finally being able to seeing the final results of all our work, I could not have been more impressed with Catapult! I have gained so much applicable knowledge that I'll be able to carry with me to college and beyond.
