Overview

InternBoston introduces Virtual60, our new summer project-based remote internship program designed to provide high school junior and senior students with meaningful learning and career exploration opportunities. Our host companies/organizations are in the greater Boston area.

In an effort to continue to meet our students where they are, InternBoston has introduced Virtual60, our new project-based internship program designed to provide our students with meaningful remote learning and career exploration opportunities.  We are committed to creating experiences of value for our students as we continue to focus on effectively meeting and exceeding the four objectives of experiential learning: skill development, general enrichment, exploration and examination, and professional development.

We believe that our student interns, as lifelong learners, are poised to excel as remote workers.  Although virtual internships do not need to be location dependent, InternBoston has elected to partner only with Boston-area companies and organizations at this time. Why? Because we are asking each of our virtual partners to provide post-internship site visits for each student, once it is appropriate to do so. This way, each student will have an opportunity to meet team members personally, and to see the physical workplace. Finally, we feel it is valuable to have our students begin to build their professional network with local connections.

Every InternBoston internship program integrates a career-readiness curriculum with work experience in a professional setting. Our interns can expect the following:

● customized internship geared toward the student's interests, abilities, and skills

● personal Internship Coach who will guide students through the process

● minimum of 60 internship hours

● career-readiness curriculum delivered throughout the internship process

Below is a partial list of career strands from which we have built successful internships for our students. Read about internships in each career industry below.
