Boston College Experience: English Language Learners Immersion Program
Overview
This three-week program for international and non-native English speakers provides high school students (15 years of age and older) with a chance to live and study at Boston College.
Students will have the opportunity to improve their english language skills through university level coursework with an emphasis on writing, reading, and speaking. Through this cultural immersion experience, students will better understand navigate social and academic settings, work in groups, and make new friends from around the world. A variety of social and extracurricular events will be planned for every afternoon and evening in addition to weekend excursions. Afternoon programs may also include community service opportunities as well as seminars related to the college search process and life on a college campus. Weekend excursions may include trips to museums, the aquarium, Six Flags Great America theme park, beach trips, and more.
