Overview

Curious about design, a career in architecture, interior design, landscape design or working on a portfolio for college admissions? The Virtual Summer Academy at Boston Architectural College (BAC) offers an opportunity to study design with peers and design professionals. No design experience is required!

For over 15 years, the BAC’s Summer Academy has provided high school students with hands-on design and material exercises. Students receive the materials through the mail to follow simultaneously while the full-scale is being executed by the BAC faculty member. Daily discussions in synchronous webinars will lead the student exercises. Case study buildings and professional firm visits through virtual reality will parallel the design/build teams of students in developing and experiencing their projects online.

Students in 11th and 12th grade who complete the Summer Academy Program earn 1.5 college credits and are eligible for a $2,000 scholarship towards one of our undergraduate programs.

The 2020 Summer Academy Program is full! But, you can find out more about this program for 2021, and all that the BAC has to offer by contacting admissions@the-bac.edu.
