Enjoy kayaking? Climbing? Mountain biking? Want to learn, lead, and facilitate other's learning through adventure activities in western Montana? As a Christian ministry, Camp Bighorn wants to equip you to lead others through adventure this summer so that you can grow in godly character and leadership.
Located next to the Clark Fork River in the mountains of western Montana, Bighorn is passionate about using adventure as the classroom where both staff and campers can grow in faith and godly character. Though we love seeing campers challenged to grow through activities like rock climbing, rafting, white water kayaking, challenge courses, mountain biking, etc., we really love giving our volunteer staff the opportunity to grow through the responsibility of leading these camps. Through 2 weeks of initial training in June, followed up with ongoing experience and training, Bighorn equips individuals ages 14 and up to come serve and lead with us for the summer. Each week our summer staff will take on new roles as our training emphasizes the kind of leadership and influence that comes from a person's character and faith rather than from their position. Staffing roles include leading adventure activities, facilitating the processing of these adventures, food services, and grounds work. Summer staff will be privileged to live in this close, Christ-centered community as they work alongside about 30 other young adult and adult volunteers and 15-20 fulltime staff. Applications for these positions can be found on our website and are due on May 4th, but spots fill up quickly so make sure you apply soon if you want to join our team. We look forward to hearing from you!
