    YLP Overview
    Every July, the Young Leaders Program at the University of Melbourne provides the opportunity for high school students aged 14 -17 the chance to explore future study and career interests, develop their skills and make friends from around the world.

    Students follow an academic stream for one week, with options to enroll for one or two weeks.  Academic streams include STEM, humanities, business, design, psychology, performing arts and leadership development.  Students participate in mini-lectures, workshops, hear from industry experts and take field trips.  Throughout YLP, students are guided by a team of university student mentors.

    Student live on campus at the residential Trinity College.  The University is of Melbourne is Australia’s #1 university, ranked #26 in the world. The campus is in a residential area of Melbourne, consistently voted one of the world’s  most livable city. 

    This program is not open to non-Australia based residents for 2021.
