Architecture for High School Students

Coral Gables, FL

Overview

Explorations in Architecture introduces secondary students (9th - 12th grades) to the field of environmental design through projects offered in architecture, landscape architecture, and planning. In its 25th summer, the program serves to engage students in the design process which is one of creative problem solving.

By using the School of Architecture curriculum as a model, specially designed courses, including Design, Graphics and Theory, will concentrate on one particular theme. Interrelated aspects of architecture including design, landscape architecture, historic preservation and urban planning, will assist the student in combining learned information with actual experience.
