Founded in 1998, the Stanwich School is a thriving, independent, co-educational day school located in the suburban community of Greenwich, Connecticut, approximately 35 miles from New York City.
Stanwich School is a community of students, parents, faculty and staff who are dedicated to educating the whole student - mind, body and spirit. At Stanwich, we encourage students to discover and develop their own talents while appreciating the gifts of others. Our rigorous academic program not only prepares students for a meaningful and productive college experience, it fosters in them a sustainable love of learning and a desire to achieve their personal best. Stanwich students are challenged to think clearly and to engage in their intellectual lives. The academic experience is enriched by engagement in the creative and performing arts, and a competitive yet inclusive physical education and athletics program.
Moreover, Stanwich seeks to nourish each student's moral development. Through unique collaboration between parents and teachers, the school teaches Judeo-Christian values based on the Golden Rule and the Ten Commandments. These values are reinforced through fully integrated daily experiences and a vibrant community service program. As Stanwich students mature, we expect them to become leaders in our community who, upon graduation, are poised to become responsible stewards of society, equipped to lead purposeful lives.
