Episcopal High School of Baton Rouge, owned and operated by the Diocese of the Episcopal Church of Louisiana, is the leading independent school in Baton Rouge. Episcopal works within the framework of a fully accredited college entrance curriculum.
Located on a beautiful 55-acre campus in the southeastern section of the city, it was established in 1965 as a challenging college preparatory school. It now serves students in grades PK-12. The low student/teacher ratio of 11:1 allows a relationship between student and teacher that recognizes the personal needs and individual levels of achievement of its 935 students. Episcopal is a member of the following organizations: the National Association of Episcopal Schools, the National Association of Independent Schools, the Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools, and the Southern Association of Independent Schools.
