    Overview

    The purpose of Wilmington College is to educate, inspire, and prepare each student for a life of success and service. To fulfill that purpose, Wilmington College provides a high quality education shaped by the traditions of the liberal arts, and career preparation.

    Wilmington College is an independent, co-educational, four-year, career-oriented, liberal arts college. Founded in 1870 by the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in Wilmington, Ohio, the College is within an hour's drive of Cincinnati, Dayton and Columbus, three of Ohio's major cities.

    There are approximately 1,200 students on the main campus and another 500 enrolled in other off-campus programs, including two branches in Cincinnati. In addition to attracting students from all over the United States, Wilmington College currently has students from seven foreign countries.

    Wilmington College has been named to the top half of Midwestern Regional Liberal Arts Colleges by U.S. News & World Report. The City of Wilmington was named "among the Best 100 Small Towns in America and rated the "Best Neighborhood in Cincinnati" by Cincinnati Magazine.
