    Overview

YACPA combines performance and academic classes with travel and teaching opportunities in an accredited two-year A.A. in Performance degree program. Receive extensive training in voice, dance, and acting coupled with hands-on teaching and performance opportunities across North America, Europe, and Asia.

The Young Americans College of the Performing Arts is a conservatory-style program for students seeking to combine intensive performing arts training with service-based learning and performance experiences that broaden their global citizenry.

The musically-focused Associate of Arts in Performance degree includes development of contemporary performance skills in the genres of voice, acting, and dance. The overall program provides students with technical proficiency, live performance experiences, and core academic classes foundational to becoming well-rounded artists and individuals.

YACPA is unique in its integration of college courses with leadership, performance, and outreach travel opportunities. Upon completing the first year of study, students have the opportunity to audition for placement on a Music Outreach Tour with The Young Americans Performance Company. This integration provides a rich and creative learning environment that allows the student to authentically apply classroom lessons to real-world situations.

Our diverse student body is connected through their shared passion for the role music and performance can play in personal and professional growth. With fewer than 200 students, the campus environment at The Young Americans College of the Performing Arts is close-knit and supportive. Students take pride not just in their own artistic and personal progress, but in the success of their peers as well.
