    Class Afloat - West Island College International is one of the worlds leading experiential education opportunities. This Canadian school offers rigorous and internationally acclaimed academic programmes while sailing aboard a historic tall ship and exploring over 20 ports of call worldwide.

    West Island College International-Class Afloat is a distinctive, globally-minded international boarding school and Gap/University program. As students sail the world aboard our tall ship they forge the highest standards in academic excellence, community service, leadership and personal development. The school's vessel defines a caring and predictable environment where minds, values and ethics coalesce into a living definition of responsible global citizenship.

    Students ages 16-19 may embark on their journey of self-discovery in 11th grade, 12th grade or for a Gap/University program and will journey to over 20 ports of call around the world. Our school is based in Canada; we utilize the Nova Scotia provincial high school curriculum and have partnered with top-ranked Acadia University for our Gap Year/University academic program. Students join Class Afloat from all over the world and credits at both the high school and university level are eligible for transfer to home schools.
