    Overview

Packed with adventure, Apogee's 9-day hiking, climbing and paddling trip is the perfect outdoor sampler, loaded with activities both in the mountains and on the water. Hike to fantastic views in New Hampshire’s White Mountains, raft the Androscoggin River, rock climb in Echo Lake State Park, and paddle sea kayaks along the Maine coast.

Our 9-day journey will begin just outside of Boston where we'll embark north into New Hampshire spending the next several days doing some wonderful day hikes and taking full advantage of all that the Presidential Range of the White Mountains has to offer. We'll enjoy the thrill of class I and II rapids rafting on the Androscoggin River. Our professional climing guides will teach us to safely belay and scale the beautiful granite walls of Cathedral Ledge. The last leg of our trip will take us to Maine where we’ll join sea kayaking guides and spend a morning or afternoon learning the fundamentals of safe paddling along Maine’s rocky coastline, enjoy a picnic along the rocky shoreline and swim in the Atlantic. No Apogee trip is complete without spending some time volunteering. Give back with a rewarding volunteer experience with a  local food bank or land trust before a final, festive dinner in historic Portland, Maine.
