    Overview

People’s Emergency Center (PEC) is located in West Philadelphia. PEC’s mission is to nurture families, strengthen neighborhoods and drive change.

PEC started as an all-volunteer agency. We host dedicated volunteers every year who want to make a difference in the community.

We have need for volunteers to distribute food. Currently opportunities are on Thursdays from 9am to 1pm at 4701 Lancaster Avenue.

    • It is outside.
    • We do provide masks, gloves, and sanitizer.
    • We encourage physical distancing as much possible.
    • The boxes are 15-20 pounds, so volunteers need to be able to lift that much.
