Haven Hills Therapeutic Riding Center got started when Sara Carter fell in love with working with the special needs community. She started integrating camps and riding lessons at Haven Hills Equestrian Center. After 3 years of teaching at other centers, she was finally able to start her own.
There are different levels of volunteering:horsehandler, sidewalker/spotter, Horse care volunteer, Maintain property, Horse feeder, horse excerciser, GRANT SUBMISSIONS, PROGRAM PROMOTERS, etc.

After one year of service in good standing, a horse care volunteer may apply for other volunteer positions:
ü Charter Horse Program
ü Horsemanship Aide/Intern
ü Instructor Certification (Special Olympic Coach, Mental growth and development, and PATH International.)
