DOROT’s GENuine Connections is look for high school interns to join a free online space for adults (65+) and teenagers to build an intergenerational community over 7 weeks of workshops on Zoom.

DOROT’s GENuine Connections creates a free online space for adults (65+) and teens to build generational community over 7 weeks of workshops on Zoom.

Engage in meaningful conversation and creative activities within small, consistent groups, leading to the discovery of new perspectives and joy. (All participants must commit to the entire 7-week workshop series. This is how we build community with authentic, positive connections.)

Every semester offers a variety of workshop topics to choose from:
Talk about the things you care about:  Current Events, an LGBTQ+ Affinity Group, Wrinkle Salon

Find fun and recharge: Brain Games (our most popular workshop!), Mindfulness, Music, Chess

Get creative in a low stakes environment: Story Circles,, a Theater Workshop Teens will earn high school community service hours.

No previous experience is necessary, however, you must attend an intern orientation before the semester begins. Register for a mandatory orientation on our website.
