    Overview

Our mission is to help academically capable and motivated children-in-need to meet their full potential, by providing healthy and empowering opportunities and education up to and through college. We wish to nurture and guide motivated young people in need to become well-educated, career-ready men and women for others.

    Ways to Connect and Serve!

Mentor: Mentors enrich our scholars by broadening their perspectives and helping them to manage daily challenges. In particular, mentors are needed to help our scholars explore areas of career interest, apply to college and pursue individual interests in art, music, sports and other activities. We ask each mentor to commit to spending one to two hours a week with a scholar for at least one year.

Academic Tutor: We ask that tutors make a one to two hour commitment per week. While tutoring experience is not required, volunteers should be comfortable explaining concepts, reviewing homework, providing test preparation, teaching study skills and working with flash cards.

Provide A Meal: Like many families, our scholars share dinner together every night. If you have culinary talents, consider lending them to dinner preparation for the scholars. You can then enjoy the fruits of your labor by sharing a home-cooked meal with our scholars and staff on the Archbishop Riordan High School campus.

Event Helper: Boys Hope Girls Hope of San Francisco hosts several important fundraising events every year, including our annual gala and breakfast event. By volunteering at one of these events, you not only help us raise critical dollars, but have the opportunity to network with business, community and academic leaders supporting our mission.
