3/20 Food Pantry Volunteer Opportunity
Overview
Volunteer at a food pantry that helps feed New Yorkers in need! We are looking for volunteers to help organize food pantry items ahead of Passover on Monday, March 20 from 9:45 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. You must be 14+ years old to volunteer, and groups of volunteers 14-17 years old must be accompanied by parent(s) or guardian(s).

The United Jewish Council of the East Side (UJCES) supports the Lower East Side and wider NYC community with human services and community development programs. While the majority of services are oriented to older adults, UJCES also has programs for families and children. UJCES volunteers are essential to our mission as we serve New Yorkers.
DETAILS:
We are looking for volunteers to help organize food pantry items ahead of Passover.
Instructions are provided on site. Tasks include bending and lifting heavy materials. This opportunity involves retrieving items from outdoors and bringing them into an indoor facility, rain or shine.
You must be 14+ years old to volunteer, and groups of volunteers 14-17 years old must be accompanied by parent(s) or guardian(s).
You can join compassionate people in supplying nutritious food to the New York City community.
DAYS & TIMES:
We are looking for volunteers, who are available on Monday, March 20 from 9:45 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
HOW TO SIGN UP:
Join the UJCES team! Please complete an online application form at ujceastside.org/volunteer-nyc. You can also sign up individually or with a school group, or a group of coworkers (14 maximum).
Individuals should mention this March 20 opportunity in their application.
Groups may also email volunteer@ujces.org, as soon as possible, to express interest.
