First discover Fiji, the Land of Smiles and the unbelievable island destination you never knew you needed to explore. See the direct, positive impact of your hard work and earn up to 40 hours of community service credit as you help improve the facilities of a local island school. Know what it feels like to make a difference in the lives of the school kids who you’ll come to see as little brothers and sisters over the course of the project.
During our time exploring Fiji’s spectacular island chain, dive into crystal clear blue waters as you swim with manta rays, reef sharks, exotic fish, and vibrant corals. Feel like a local as you explore limestone caves, cook a lovo, savor kava and visit indigenous villages.
We’ll then head to the Land Down Under: Australia. You will explore the rainforests of Australia while working with local organizations dedicated to protecting the country’s unique and diverse wildlife on land and water. Participants will become Great Barrier Reef advocates as part of this multifaceted program that facilitates Great Barrier Reef research, education, and conservation. Service will include a classroom component — training with marine biologists and developing the skills necessary for our work out on the water. Our hands-on work will involve trips with marine biologists to Fitzroy Island and the Great Barrier Reef to survey reefs, collect data, and visit a turtle rehabilitation center. Over the years, our service work has had a huge impact on the community and our former students were even featured on the local news!
