If you enjoy government, sports medicine, global relations, or any common field of study, and you like a large campus with lots of trees and good food, Summer Discovery at Michigan is right for you! I had the best time of my life at Summer Discovery, and the Michigan campus is one of the best. You take classes in the University, sleep in the dorms, and campus life is super exciting! The three weeks you spend with Summer Discovery will feel like three years, and you will make friends from all throughout the United States, as well as other places such as the Dominican Republic or Hong Kong! The right combination of Work and Play is exemplified here at SD UMich, where you have opportunities like touring the Big House and going all the way to either Cedar Point or the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame. Nothing beats summers in Ann Arbor, so if you are interested, check out Summer Discovery today!

In the summer of 2015, I had the opportunity to attend the Summer Discovery Program at the University of Michigan. It was a great experience for me as I got to stay in the official residence halls on campus, attend class in the same buildings the students at University of Michigan attend in, and explore downtown Ann Arbor around campus. My classes were also educational and I learned information that I did not know before, particularly in my advertising and marketing class. Overall, if you are a high school student looking for a great opportunity to learn about a career or passion, Summer Discovery is a great place to do so!

    • Pre-College Program at University of Pennsylvania

During the summer of 2015, I attended the University of Pennsylvania and took the 1.5 credit Pre-College Introduction to Biology course. I learnt a lot in the lecture porion as well as the lab classes. The labs were a good hands-on experience. The PennCard and PennKey that we were given had a lot of benefits that came with it. Before exams, my friends and I booked a study room in the libraries to study. We were treated like undergraduates and that made the idea of "experiencing college" more real for me. I really enjoyed the weekend trips as well. While the weekdays were busy with course work, the fun I had during my free times as well as the trips gave me balance. It was academically challenging, but doable and on top of that, it was fun. I would urge everyone to participate as well.

Summer Discovery was the best experience of my life. The pre college program provided me with the perfect balance for summer, from academics to fun. I was enrolled in the Anderson program at UCLA and studied the business of media, entertainment, and sports. My teachers were so knowledgeable and experienced in the industry, and they really inspired me. After class, I got to tour the beautiful city of Los Angeles; sightseeing and hiking in Hollywood, shopping in Melrose, visiting Universal Studios, and hanging out on campus with good friends were some of my favorite activities. The people I met here - my suite mates, friends, teachers, hall advisors, and staff - were so approachable and warm. I grew so much from the independent experience and would recommend Summer Discovery to everyone!

For the summer of 2015 I applied to the University of Pennsylvania 6 Week Intro to Biology/Lab course. From an increase in conceptual knowledge to an amazing college life experience Summer Discovery definitely made the time and money for the program worth it. The University being integrated with the city made for a unique summer experience. I would highly recommend this program to any of my peers.

I attended the Summer Discovery program at U Michigan and UCLA during the summer of 2015. The experience is a one of a kind and everything was so great. I got to learn more about what I am most passionate for. I got to live at the campuses of two of my top choice schools for colleges. I was able to meet kids and make friends from all over the world and got to learn some of their language. It is amazing what these programs accomplish in just 5-6 weeks and you should definitely try them.

I attended the Summer Discovery program at The University of Michigan during the summer of 2015. The experience is a one of a kind and has changed my life for the better. There, I've met found friends from all across the world! Spain, Italy, Lebanon.. You name it! Everyone was so so friendly and it seems like you create your own little family from those 2-5 weeks together.

This also looks great on college resumes. A lot of my friends that I met at The University of Michigan have been admitted to the awesome school. Those who weren't admitted still were accepted to other great universities. Despite the awesome social environment, the education was top notch. Thanks to Summer Discovery, I've learned what it takes to start up and manage my own business.

I attended Summer Discovery at Georgetown last summer. It was one of the best experiences of my life. I had the opportunity to go to classes taught by college professors and study amongst some of the smartest kids in the world. It was great to create new friendships with people from all around the world. Our class discussions gave every student the ability to participate and each person to give some information about where they are from. Not only were the academic opportunities great, I was also able to explore Washington D.C. There were field trips to different museums each day and larger trips every weekend. Summer Discovery gave me the opportunity to make everlasting bonds with new friends as well as have a sense of what college is like.

I attended the Summer Discovery program at UPenn during the summer of 2015. Though there were many great memories and people, a few stand out. For example, the one thing and the most important thing I have learned about college learning is how to learn the material so that you not only understand but can also recall it. Another experience I will never forget is meeting so many sweet, intelligent, and nice people. When I first thought of attending Summer Discovery, I thought it was a summer camp for very intelligent students that were so competitive and didn't know how to socialize. However, I was TOTALLY WRONG! There are some of the most interesting and kind people I have met in my life. Even today, I still talk to them, that's much we bonded over three weeks. Overall it was a fabulous experience and I highly recommend every high school student attend it.

I enjoyed my 3 summers attending Summer Discovery at UCLA (2 times) and Emerson College (1 time) in Boston. I made many long lasting memories and many long lasting friends. Whether, it was hanging out with my friend Louis at Fenway Park or meeting celebrities at the ESPYS. I enjoyed every second of it because Summer Discovery made everything happen. I requested certain things and they made sure that I would attend those things such as: going to meet Rob Gronkowski at the Grove and go see the Mets play in L.A. Thank you Summer Discovery! I had a blast!

I attended Summer Discovery at UCLA this past summer for three weeks. I was in the Anderson School of Business and it was an amazing experience. I learned so much about business and got to experience what college was like. My favorite part about UCLA is how close it is to so many unique places. California is a great place and it is such a good place to get a pre-college experience. I had so much fun at UCLA and also gained so much knowledge about the business world.

I had so much fun while received many information about the job I might pursue in the future.
