Every summer, Invictus Prep holds two week-long creative writing workshops designed to help high school students hone their creative writing skills. Through workshops led by Ivy League English graduates, your child will learn the skills they need to take their creative writing to the next level. Our workshop takes students through several creative writing activities and will culminate in the production of a short story or set of poems that are ready for publication.

The Invictus Prep High School Creative Writing Workshop is a week-long online creative writing intensive for high school students! We offer the online workshop during two sessions every summer and lead sessions over Zoom. We accept applications from students in the United States and welcome applications from abroad. We accept applications from 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th graders. Our deadline this year is June 15th at 11:59pm EST.

We start off our writing workshops by teaching students how to become both strong writers critical thinkers through exercises in literary style, narrative, and technique. From there, students will develop their authentic voice and produce original works of creative writing based on the skills they pick up with us! Our writing workshops are led by Ivy League English graduates who offer the highest quality writing expertise.

During our week-long writing intensive, students will engage in group creative writing lessons in the morning and meet with their creative writing cohort in the afternoon. Students will be given daily assignments to be completed between the two meetings and will develop confidence in their writing skills by workshopping each other’s work and getting advice from the pros.
