This summer, combine international travel with service work to give your family an adventure of a lifetime! Bring your family to Guatemala and in one week give your children, nieces/nephews or grandkids a greater appreciation for travel and for helping others! All while making unforgettable memories.
Spend the months leading up to the trip fundraising as a family to fund not only your trip expenses but the construction of the school and School the World’s local programming for an entire year in that community. We are here to help every step of the way with fundraising and have a fundraising toolkit with fun family friendly ideas to get you started!
Your time in Guatemala will be spent helping to build a school, experiencing a beautiful new culture, going on exciting adventure activities and make lasting memories with your family members all while transforming the lives of children living in poverty. What could be better?
This week will not only be a blast for the whole family, it will pass on shared values to your young family members about the importance of helping others and giving back.
We promise it will be a trip that your family talks about for years to come! Hear from someone who has been on one of our family trips:
Stacy Rubin with nieces Annabel and Elle, July '18
"I was incredibly fortunate to travel with my nieces Annabel and Elle to finish a school in Guatemala. Working along side them and watching as they experienced the joy of working to improve the lives of children was an experience I’ll always cherish. Thanks to School the World for providing all three of us with this wonderful opportunity to make a difference, and to do it together as a family! I am already looking forward to bringing the rest of the family!”
