    Overview

Welcome to River Wind Farm! Just thirty minutes south of Boston, River Wind Farm is an established hunter/jumper program that offers riders of all ages and abilities exceptional instruction. With an emphasis on safety, horsemanship and show skills, the trainers at River Wind Farm work with students to develop and achieve their individual goals. River Wind Farm's longstanding reputation on the show circuit has attracted competitive horses and riders from the region for over forty years.

LessonsFor over 40 years, River Wind Farm has run a successful lesson program offering quality instruction on quality horses. The emphasis is on safety and preparation for the horse show ring. Private, semi-private and small group lessons are options depending on the rider's level. ?

Riders of all ages and abilities are welcome with the understanding that the first year is an opportunity to decide if RWF is the right fit. After a year, the rider will be asked to consider a commitment to horse showing, leasing or horse ownership. Together, a RWF trainer and the rider will work on goals and next steps moving forward.

    Boarding & Training

Basic board includes daily stall cleaning and turnout, blanketing, hay, grain, supplements, and night check.  Our barn manager coordinates all veterinarian, dentist, and farrier appointments.  We also offer training board including five training services per week as well as a la carte training rides by our professional riders. ?

We have ample outdoor riding areas with all-weather footing, a spacious indoor arena with GGT footing, an auxiliary indoor bubble for lunging, and a large heated viewing room for observing riding lessons.

Our students have competed successfully on the local and national level, and our professionals are recognized for training horses to be successful in the show ring. The River Wind Farm show season starts in February with the Florida circuit and continues through the indoor finals in the fall.

Please contact us if you are interested in boarding, training or showing with us.?

Horse Shows at River Wind Farm

Horse shows at River Wind Farm are USEF/NEHC/MHC/MHJ/SEHA, offer a range of hunter and equitation classes from walk-trot through 3'6" Equitation medal qualifiers, and includes open warmup throughout the day at set heights.

    Interscholastic Equestrian Association Team

River Wind Farm's Interscholastic Equestrian Association ("IEA") team competes in Zone 1.  The IEA was established in the spring of 2002 for student equestrians in grades 6-12.  The mission of the IEA is to introduce students in private and public middle and secondary schools to equestrian sports and to promote and improve the quality of equestrian competition and instruction.  IEA team members may show in up to five shows per season.  RWF holds tryouts only for the purpose of placing team members in the appropriate division - there are no cuts.  New team members may join IEA up to November 1st for the current season.
