Philosophy, Literature and Modern History Summer School:
Delve into the minds of history’s greatest thinkers, and explore some of the most famous literary works of all time, as you debate and analyze questions about existence, truth, beauty and ethics.
Oxford Royale's Philosophy, Literature and Modern History Summer School is your opportunity to pursue life’s most fundamental questions and discuss answers to the meaning of life. You'll evaluate the impact and influence of literary and philosophical works on modern history, engaging in Oxbridge-style tutorial discussions that will hone your ability to present and justify your arguments.
Network with peers and experts as you explore logic, metaphysics, ethics and epistemology expressed through literature and philosophy. Our program is designed for those who wish to strengthen their formal debate, discussion and presentation skills, while also learning how to identify fallacies in an argument.
You’ll be staying in the historic colleges of the University of Oxford to experience authentic undergraduate life. It’s a unique opportunity to learn about medicine in the settings where ground-breaking discoveries have been made, and a taste of higher education to set you on a path to academic and career achievement.
Through a variety of teaching methods, including interactive lectures, workshops, project-based group work and masterclasses, you’ll gain knowledge of your subject, additional insights and the opportunity to examine and grow your ambitions.
Our summer school program is delivered by a world class faculty of experts and teachers, many from the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, and Ivy League colleges, who bring out the best in every individual. Through small class sizes and a range of different perspectives, we deliver a holistic learning and development experience.
