Join Oxford Royale's Experimental Psychology course and become an expert on the human mind, able to answer life's most intriguing questions.

Dig deep into the workings of the mind, and explore everything from psychological disorders, to how childhood attachments affect someone’s future. Design your own investigations, network with experts, and explore the ethics of human psychology experiments.

Our Experimental Psychology Summer School takes place on campus at the University of Oxford and Imperial College London. Students gain vital practical skills in experimental psychology, creating their own lab-based experiment in small groups. Whether there is a research topic that fascinates you, or a theory that you’d like to put to the test, you’ll dive into fundamental psychological concepts and learn all the key processes of psychology research.

You’ll be staying in the historic colleges of the University of Oxford or on campus at Imperial College London to experience authentic undergraduate life. It’s a unique opportunity to learn about psychology in the settings where ground-breaking discoveries have been made, and a taste of higher education to set you on a path to academic and career achievement.

Through a variety of teaching methods, including interactive lectures, workshops, project-based group work and masterclasses, you’ll gain knowledge of your subject, additional insights and the opportunity to examine and grow your ambitions.

Our Experimental Psychology Summer School program is delivered by a world class faculty of experts and teachers, many from the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, and Ivy League colleges, who bring out the best in every individual. Through small class sizes and a range of different perspectives, we deliver a holistic learning and development experience. You’ll return home with new-found confidence alongside the insights you've gained.

We've welcomed young people from more than 170 nationalities since 2004, and a summer with us is the perfect opportunity to gain a global perspective, increase cultural awareness and develop an international network of friends and connections.

Join us in 2023 to learn about core aspects of several different research methodologies and how to critically evaluate experimental research presented in the media. By looking at famous psychological experiments, you'll increase your awareness of ethical issues and implications, and acquire the skills to evaluate them in light of these shortcomings. Learning on our Experimental Psychology course is through university-style tutorials - the ideal stepping stone to higher education at one of the world's top universities.
