Course Information
This week is for those who want to delve deeper into solutions to our climate challenges. Run by Oxford experts in climate science and climate policy, we will be looking at how climate models work, how extreme weather events can be attributed to climate change, options for carbon capture and storage, policy options for reducing emissions, the role of ecosystems management in carbon management, and no doubt have many passionate debates. We will be talking to scientists, economists, policy advisers, and the knowledge transfer experts who mediate between people with different perspectives and areas of expertise. This will be an intellectually stimulating week, forging new understanding of the most pressing issue of our time.
The Experience
Come and experience the beautiful city of Oxford and meet students from around the world who share your interests in climate science. You will reside in Exeter College part of the University of Oxford. Rooms are single occupancy with shared bathroom facilities. All meals are provided. Outside of class enjoy a fun social program that makes use of all that Oxford has to offer. From boat rides on the Thames to trips to world famous museums, our professional and experienced team will ensure you make the most of your time in your host city. If you are looking to stay for a bit longer, consider joining us for a second week and exploring the intersection of sustainability and business on our Eco Entrepreneurs week. Students opting for a two-week program will be provided with accommodation and activities for the weekend between courses.
