Kennolyn Camps Huntington Lake is south of Yosemite in the Kaiser Wilderness. It is a small, close-knit community of 48 campers between 6th and 11th grade and 20 staff each session. Campers can thrive with flexible and wide range of activity choices along with close counselor guidance where our staff knows every camper by name. Our campers develop lifelong emotional and social skills, are challenged to learn new things, and most of all have fun!
Huntington Lake, well known for its annual High Sierra Regatta, is where we enjoy sailing, waterskiing, standup paddleboarding, wakeboarding, kayaking, fishing or just relaxing and playing the ukulele on our newly built dock. Just 45 miles south of Yosemite Valley as the crow flies in the heart of the Sierra National Forest, our location is truly one of the best-kept secrets in California. The program is led by an experienced management team, the summer climate is ideal, and we have unlimited access to the sparkling waters of Huntington Lake and miles of trails right from our back door.
Located at the base of Kaiser Peak, we have access to thousands of miles of beautiful hiking trails, mountain lakes, rivers, and all the outdoor activities to make the most of our natural surroundings. Outdoor cooking and living skills, hiking, nature craft, yoga, frisbee golf and star hikes are some of the many activities that are best enjoyed in the natural beauty of the high sierras.
Each day ends in our beautiful new cabins with two counselors and 8 campers for a good night’s rest and the anticipation for another great day at the lake. We hope your camper will join us and create memories to last a lifetime!
Campers arrive by bus from Santa Clarita, Gilroy or Fresno California on Mondays at the beginnning of each session. Kennolyn Huntington Lake offers 4, 90 minute activity periods each day where campers can learn new skills or improve exisiting skills in the many activities offered on or around the lake. Kennolyn prides itself in offering three high quality meals each day that are both delicious and nutritious along with an afternoon healthy snack for plenty of energy to keep us going. Following dinner the fun does not stop with a variety of evening program such as Campfire, Capture the Flag or Get to Know your counselor to name a few.
