    Overview

The National Security & Counterintelligence Academy at Georgetown University brings together unparalleled government and international relations resources from the Georgetown network to explore security and counterintelligence issues.

You'll gain a deeper understanding of how policies enhance the security of Americans in the post-9/11 world, study how the United States prevents foreign adversaries from gaining access to national security information, and examine how intelligence information is collected, analyzed, and disseminated.

As a student in the National Security & Counterintelligence Academy, you'll spend your day immersed in a blend of classroom lectures, field trips, hands-on activities, and group discussions. Throughout the course of the week, you'll have the opportunity to explore the following subject areas:

    • Homeland security
    • The United States and the Middle East
    • Cyber security
    • Drug trafficking
    • Arms proliferation
    • Border protection
