EXPLO combines the fun of summer camp with unlimited ways to explore your interests and surprise yourself. Here, you have the freedom to choose activities you’re actually into—and try new things in a judgment-free zone to find the real you. In this personalized summer enrichment program, you can choose five topics from 50 possibilities in areas like Fashion Illustration, Sports and Society, Codebreaking, Digital Music Production, and more.
Meet other clever and curious teens who just “get” you as you do your favorite things—and explore new interests. Your peers come from around the world and are curious about all kinds of things, from Creative Writing to Criminal Psychology. Together, you’ll bring your ideas to life with faculty, staff, and mentors who do big things—writers, doctors, artists, entrepreneurs, actors, engineers, and more. At EXPLO, you actually DO the things you’re excited about. Come as you are, and discover who you have the power to become.

Medical Specialties Focus Program
Step into the life of a medical doctor or nurse and experience specialties like internal medicine, trauma care, cardiology, and pathology. Work with medical professionals from top hospitals, practices, and simulation labs to develop skills from suturing and intubation to starting an IV and reading an x-ray.
Overnight or Ultimate Day
You can experience these EXPLO programs as an overnight student, living on the Sarah Lawrence College campus in dorms with roommates. Or you can spend the day with us as an Ultimate Day student, with the option to arrive early, stay late, and participate in all the same trips and events as residents before returning home for the night.
Your EXPLO Summer Home
Sarah Lawrence College is a beautiful 44-acre wooded campus tucked alongside the tree-lined village of Bronxville, New York. Energetic? Dive into pool games, play soccer, or do Zumba. Creative? Join a jam session in the outdoor amphitheater or learn block printmaking at the art studio. At Sarah Lawrence, there’s space for whatever you want to do.
New York-Style Summer Fun
You pick what interests you and decide how to spend your downtime, whether it’s with clubs, leagues, activities, and/or trips, you have the power to dream up your perfect summer. Test prototype aircraft, go downstream river rafting, visit the Guggenheim Museum or Museum of Ice Cream, attend a concert on the lawn, win big at a board game party, or live large on a cruise night.
