    Overview

    Volunteer for 4 weeks this summer as a part of the China Summer Group Teaching Quest. Provide educational opportunities to rural students and strengthen environmental awareness among the community. Build friendships and understanding among people from around the world. Foster youth leadership through practical experience in a challenging environment. Experience life in rural China first-hand and learn about current social, political, environmental, and economic issues. Find out more!

    Sample Itinerary:

    Days 1 – 4: Land in Beijing and spend some time sightseeing in the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, the Great Wall of China, and more.

    Day 5: Travel through Huaihua to your project site – a rural village in the beautiful western Hunan province of China.

    Days 6 – 24:  Stay in a local schoolhouse, and spend your time teaching English and environmental studies to local Chinese students, visiting the students’ families, exploring nearby towns, going hiking, shopping at local markets, and more.

    Days 25 – 27: Travel back to Beijing and finish out your trip visiting any additional sites you’d like to see.

    Day 28: Fly home or continue your own travel in China
