The Digital Media Production Academy is an intensive residential learning experience that introduces students to the professional methods of visual storytelling techniques used in the broadcast industry. Students learn, hands-on, lead by our industry-expert faculty, in our state-of-the art production stage, sound studio, and radio station located in the Center for Communication and Creative Media, while gaining media literacy and exploring the role of broadcast media in American culture.
In the Digital Media Production Academy students will:
- Work with industry-standard camera and lighting equipment (Canon XA-10, Lowell Rifa Lighting kits)
- Get experience using industry-standard software such as the Adobe Creative Suite and the Tricaster mobile studio
- Learn visual storytelling, the techniques of visual composition, and storytelling with sound through a rigorous curriculum
- Practice preparing media for public and on-air presentation
- Explore media writing for multiple platforms
- Build confidence and gain real-world experience
- Get a head start on building their portfolio
Located on the shores of Lake Champlain in beautiful Burlington, Vermont, Champlain College's Pre-College Summer Programs provide students with a robust learning environment and the opportunity to make new connections with peers and faculty who have shared interests. (Space is limited.)

PROGRAM FEE: $4,500. This all-inclusive package includes:
