This three-week program is great for students that are passionate about computer science and want to learn the basic elements of app development. No previous experience is required.
App Development gives students a great introduction into the world of creating Android apps.
Students will use MIT’s App Inventor and will complete three projects. The first project will be to create variations of a pre-existing app designed by the instructor, followed by the second project which will have the students create a game app. The third and final project will ask the students to create an app designed for a local business and will include a presentation.
This series of projects will give students the knowledge, experience and confidence to create their own apps while developing valuable computer science skills that they can continue to build on through the future.
