- Pre-College Summer Art and Design at Parsons Paris
Designed for high schoolers ages 16-18, students will spend about 3 weeks in Paris studying at Parsons Paris - The New School. Students can also expect excursions where they can learn more about the culture. Past activities have included visiting the chateau de Chambord, Eiffel Tower, Louvre, and Notre-Dame. 3 credits can be earned through their studying art and design at the host university. Many students enroll in this program to develop a portfolio that they will later use as supplementary material for college applications.
- Summer High School Spanish Language and Culture in Salamanca for College Credit
Students ages 16-18 will study at the University of Salamanca and earn 2.5 to 5 credits. This Spanish immersion program is an excellent opportunity for students to improve their language skills and learn more about the culture of Spain. Living with host families, students will spend two weeks immersing themselves in this new environment. Some past activities have included hiking the Salamanca Mountains, visiting the Toro wineries, and spending a whole day exploring Madrid.
- High School French Language and Culture Immersion
Studying at the Institut Catholique de Paris, students can earn 5 semester credits learning about the French language and culture. Students can expect to attend class during the morning and engage in recreational activities for the rest of the day. Some examples of past day trips include visiting Normandy, Versailles, and Giverny. Since the classes are taught in French, students will be expected to take a placement exam prior to arrival.
- Summer High School Community Service in The Himalayas
This week-long service trip takes place in Thimphu, a Himilayan city in Bhutan. Students will have the opportunity to learn about the culture and engage in exciting outdoor activities. Working alongside local children, students will participate in environmental and community projects around the city. They can also expect touring a monastery, learning how to meditate, and taking a Bhutanese cooking class!
- Summer High School Community Service in Costa Rica
For two weeks, students will explore beautiful Costa Rica and engage in a community service program. They'll have plenty of opportunities to learn and improve their Spanish as they interact with locals. Exciting excursions may include visiting Arenal Volcano. For their service projects, students will focus on sustainability and social welfare services. Upon completion of their projects, students will earn credit for 30 community service hours.
