    Overview

From the heady heights of Machu Picchu to the colourful stripes of Rainbow Mountain to the virgin Amazon rainforest, our unique 3-week Peru programme provides the perfect solution to get off-grid so you can see these highlights whilst contributing to life-changing community projects for the high Andean communities. Interwoven are Spanish lessons to set you up for any further travels you might want to do around South America.

Your first two weeks will be spent in the Sacred Valley, in the heart of the Andes, where you will become immersed in local community life. You’ll work closely with our Peruvian partners, a pioneering NGO looking to combat poor diet. Throughout this time you will experience a mix of community projects, exploration, and adventure - the highlights being to witness Machu Picchu in all its glory, climb Rainbow Mountain, and living with one of our gorgeous Peruvian families for a full-on cultural hit.

Your final week will be a fantastic contrast as you head into the steamy Amazon jungle. You will venture in by boat down the Madre de Dios River to reach your base at Lake Sandoval. From here you'll canoe down the tributaries to explore both the primary and secondary rainforest in search of unique wildlife and magnificent birds. This Peruvian adventure is the perfect way to kickstart your South American travels, and we’re on hand to support you every step of the way, including with any onward travel you’d like to do post-programme.
