The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night Walk is the Bay Area's night to pay tribute and bring hope to people battling cancer. Light The Night benefits The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) mission to find a cure for blood cancers and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families. Participants will walk along a two-mile route carrying illuminated lanterns - white for current patients and survivors, red for supporters, and gold for those walking in memory. These lanterns signify how we are lighting up the dark world of cancer as we walk for a cure!
Volunteer positions for this event will include helping with set up and break down, check-in and registration, food and refreshments, t-shirt distribution, cheering on walk participants, and other various tasks related to the Light The Night Walk. This is a great opportunity for individuals as well as for service, school, and work groups.
Our San Francisco Walk will take place on Thursday, November 12atAT&T Park this year, and will begin with registration opening at 5:00pm and the Walk itself beginning at 7:00 pm.
