Mission Statement

The City School develops and strengthens youth to become effective leaders for social justice. We work with teens, ages 14-19 in Boston and its surrounding suburbs who are emerging leaders and have a passion for social justice. Our community intentionally crosses lines of race, class, gender, and neighborhood.

Our work is possible because of your commitment and dedication. You are the many generous donors and volunteers who allow our programming to thrive. Each year, hundreds of teens from the city and surrounding communities gain invaluable life experiences and leadership skills through the individuals and institutions that support us. With sincere gratitude, we thank all of those who through their generosity and belief in the work we do, help young people live the promise we see in them. On behalf of everyone in The City School community, a heartfelt thank you!
