Mission Statement

The Children's Inn at the National Institutes of Health is a residential "place like home" for sick children and their families. Children come from across the country and around the world to stay together with their families in The Inn's healing environment while receiving groundbreaking treatments at the NIH.

The Children's Inn has a dynamic volunteer program with more than 175 volunteers. There are many ways to share your time and talents with The Inn and its families.

Inn volunteers are involved in almost every operational aspect of The Children's Inn. Our managers, professional staff and veteran volunteers provide your training. Volunteers must be at least 18 years-old for the long-term positions.
