Mission Statement

The mission and vision of Sponsor a Horse is to provide a permanent safe haven for all horses that are asymptomatic carriers of Equine Infectious Anemia within the state of Florida as well as for any horse in need within the Broward County area thus preventing their needless destruction.

Thank you for your interest in our programs! We are open to volunteers and their participation from 1:00 to 6:30 during the summer and 12 -5:30 PM

during the winter months on Tuesdays and Thursdayas well as Saturday and Sunday.

You do not have to stay for the entire 5 hours. Volunteering at F.R.I.E.N.D.S. simply involves showing up for one of our orientations with the required documentation! That’s all there is to it! You must attend an orientation before you begin volunteering. If you are under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must attend the orientation with you. Orientations are held at the ranch the 1st Saturdayand the 3rd Sunday of every month at 1:00PM. Simply choose whichever day is convenient for you and show up!.

Reservations are not required unless you are planning a group visit.  We also work with Hands on Broward and Volunteer Match if you prefer to work through either of those organizations.
