Mission Statement

Rebuilding Together San Francisco helps residents and community organizations in need to live and work in safety and comfort.,/p>

Home Safety Heroes typically take on basic home safety equipment installations. Home safety equipment installations include: installing grab bars, hand held shower heads, raised toilet seats, shower chairs; and checking smoke detectors. Home safety materials are available from our warehouse in Pier 28.

Projects generally take 1-3 hours each, including time to get materials at the hardware store, or at Pier 28.

Volunteers generally take on 1-2 projects in a day, with varying schedules during the month depending on your availability. Volunteers can make appointments directly with the clients, so completing projects corresponds with their schedules, or RTSF can set appointments for volunteers with specific date and time commitments.
