Lenox Hill Neighborhood House is a 118-year-old settlement house that provides an extensive array of effective and integrated human services, social, educational, legal, health, housing, mental health, nutritional and fitness services which improve the lives of 20,000 people in need each year.
Volunteers enable Lenox Hill Neighborhood House to respond effectively and personally to the needs of the community. They bring a variety of skills, knowledge and experience that enrich our programs and activities. Working with professional educators, social workers and administrators, volunteers meet interesting people while improving the community.
Our volunteers care about our programs and work tirelessly to strengthen individuals and families in need.
We have 700 volunteers a year throughout our programs. Some volunteers serve on an ongoing basis while others help with short-term assignments or special events. Opportunities are available on weekdays, evenings and weekends, and include a variety of activities.
