Mission Statement

Home, Inc. programs help students develop creative media projects that foster teamwork and communication skills. HOME's media projects and programs focus on teacher and student collaboration and the ability to effectively evaluate media messages, in order to enhance critical thinking skills.

We teach video production and media analysis to educators and youth to foster confident, creative, individuals with the ability to think for themselves. Our programs help students develop creative media projects that foster teamwork and communication skills. HOME's media projects and programs focus on teacher and student collaboration and the ability to effectively evaluate media messages in order to enhance critical thinking skills. We run a Six-Week Summer Teen Workshop in television production where teens produce a TV series called "Teen TV." Teens are paid by various local foundations for their participation. Teens join production crews under the supervision of a coordinator and they produce three episodes of a television series that is of interest to other teens. Participants should have some level of familiarity with television or video production. Volunteer opportunities are also available during the summer.
