HABcore, by providing permanent housing and individualized support, helps homeless families with children, veterans, and individuals with special needs move through crisis to stability, giving them the opportunity to improve their lives.?
YOU can serve as a HABcore adviser or volunteer. Talents, energy and services of a diverse nature are urgently needed and gratefully appreciated. Persons ages 16 & 17 years old may volunteer without a parent but must provide the signed waiver and release providing parental consent.
Volunteer Opportunities:
- Prepare and help serve meals (Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner)
- Housekeeping
- Pick up and deliver donations
- Skilling teaching: financial literacy, resume preparation, computers
- Represent HABcore in events such as walkathons, parades, and other events
- Host a drive for household goods, holiday gifts, etc.
- Game nights or recreational activities
- Yard work, like gardening and cleaning gutters
