Foundation for MetroWest has worked with local youth to teach them about the power and importance of philanthropy for over 15 years. Through this unique program we have educated over 1000 teens, who have granted over $700,000 to nonprofits serving MetroWest youth.
Do you like to give back to your community? Applications are now available for the Foundation for MetroWest’s Youth in Philanthropy program.
The Summer Institute for Youth Leadership is a three day summer experience that offers high school students a unique way for you to get involved in your community, make new friends, and build skills that will help you in college and beyond.
During the Summer Institute, you and a group of local teens will learn all about the diverse needs of others in the MetroWest community. Not only that, students will make site visits to local nonprofit organizations and ultimately discover that they can make a big impact in their community. A highlight of the program, as a new philanthropist, is that you get to give back to local organizations helping underserved youth by donating $2,500, $5,000, or $10,000!
Busy this summer but still want to make a difference? Applications are also now available for our semester long Youth in Philanthropy program.
Since 1997, the Foundation for MetroWest’s Youth in Philanthropy program has been inspiring youth to give back and to truly become invested in the MetroWest community. Key to the future success of our region, we are proud to offer one of the largest youth philanthropy education programs in the country that has educated over 1,000 teens who have granted $800,000 to over 140 youth development organizations in our backyard.
