Mission Statement

The Center for 4-H and Youth Development of the College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability and Environmental Sciences, of the University of the District of Columbia, seeks to engage youth in experiential opportunities with caring adults that allow youth to become self-directing stewards of positive change...

The purpose of the 4-H program is to provide positive youth development opportunities to meet the needs of young people; to ensure that they experience: belonging, independence, and generosity, master skills, and gain a depth of knowledge. The club membership is open to all youth, ages 5-24, without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, disability, public assistance, veteran or military status, or sexual orientation.
