DC Stop Modern Slavery is seeking volunteers to help plan and volunteer at the 2015 Stop Modern Slavery WalkFest scheduled for Saturday, September 26th in Washington, DC. WalkFest helps unify the anti-slavery movement.
This community-powered event will raise awareness and funds in the fight against human trafficking. Event proceeds directly benefit locally based organizations working to end modern slavery. The event will include: luminary speakers, a walk around the Washington Monument, a resource fair with dozens of anti-trafficking organizations, and live music.
GOALS Over the past 5 years, we've raised over $375,000 and brought in over 7,500 community members and walkers! Our goal this year is to raise $100,000 for beneficiaries and have 2,000 participants at the WalkFest.
