The mission of Boys & Girls Harbor is to empower children and their families to become full, productive participants in society through education, cultural enrichment, and social services.
Our Afterschool programs provide a learning environment that empowers student choice and encourages participants to break out of their comfort zone: to try new things, to challenge themselves, and enjoy the satisfaction that comes from meeting their own personal goals.
Students in Grades K-12 benefit from impactful academic, social-emotional, and performing arts education, coupled with meaningful engagement of their families, afterschool and on Saturdays during the school year, and for six weeks in the summer. Students in Grades K-5 participate in Harbor K.I.D.S. (Kids who Imagine, Dream and Succeed), and students in Grades 6-12 are in Harbor T.E.E.N. (Teens who Explore, Empower, and Navigate). They come from neighboring schools where we have Partnership Agreements to ensure that students’ afterschool experiences coordinate and enrich the regular school day.
