    Overview

Welcome to The New York Conservatory! We understand that deciding how and where to pursue your professional acting career is one of life’s biggest decisions. We offer an individualized and collaborative learning experience to realize your potential and transform you from a student into an actor who works.

Simply put, great acting is great acting, whether it happens on a Broadway stage, the set of a feature film or daytime soap, or in a commercial voice-over booth. But crafting your performance for such varied venues is like knowing how to speak different languages-the rules are totally different. Your knowledge, skills and techniques have to be different as well.

The New York Conservatory offers comprehensive programs to help build your brand and launch your career. Our Film and Television Performance Program, Musical Theatre Performance Program, Theatre Performance Program and New Media for Actors Program are all two-year Associate Degree training programs.

Our faculty are professionals currently working in the industry in New York, and around the world. Students work towards the experience of performing in a professionally produced on-camera scene, or in a performance on a New York City stage, and graduate with the tools in hand to get work—including a resume and network of industry contacts.

We also offer four-week Summer Intensive Training Programs in Film and Television Performance and Musical Theatre Performance.
