Transitional Living Programs
Transitional living programs are designed for young people over 18 who need a safe, supportive environment and life skills training as they transition into adulthood. Many transitional living programs offer 12-step or other addiction support and/or will have a psychiatric component. Some offer educational programs at community colleges or universities, or offer classes onsite. Volunteering, employment arrangements, community service, and re-integration into the community at large are general components of the transitional living programs. Many operate on a small residential model and transition to a community-based, independent living apartment model.
